Welcome to the Crufts 2008 Summary News
Crufts 2008 has come to a close and what a successful event it was. Over 160,000 visitors were welcomed through the doors of the NEC during the four days of the show to watch nearly 23,00 dogs demonstrate their many different talents and abilities in a wide range of disciplines.

Breed Booth competition winners
The winner of the Best Breed Booth for the best decorated and most informative Breed Booth in the Discover Dogs area at Crufts 2008 was the Labrador breed booth. The competition was judged by John Banbury and Bob Dyke and the results were as follows:
Labrador Irish Wolfhound Field Spaniel Affenpinscher Tibetan Terrier Russian Black Terrier

The Kennel Club would also like to thank the breed booth holders in the Discover Dogs area and all the other officials and helpers who assisted to ensure that Crufts remains the world's greatest dog show.
Dog Photographer of the Year 2008
Following the launch at Crufts 2008 the Kennel Club is calling for entries for this year's Dog Photographer of the Year competition. The competition is open to anyone and everyone - all that you need is a camera, a roll of film and - of course - a love of dogs!
The winning photograph from the competition will be framed and displayed at Discover Dogs 2008 (8th and 9th November 2008 at Earls Court 2, London). The image will also be reproduced on the front cover of the special Photography Competition edition of the Kennel Clubâ€s flagship publication, the Kennel Gazette, and the winner from each category will be presented with a framed print of their photograph.

The fun day out for doggy people returns once more to Earls Court 2, London on 8th and 9th November 2008. Tickets will go on sale from the Discover Dogs website in August so make sure you join us to enjoy all the fun this entertaining weekend has to offer.
