Derwent Valley Dog Club is a friendly and active dog-training club based in Derby.
Founded in 1994 we celebrated our tenth anniversary year in 2004.To celebrate our anniversary we organised a companion dog show to raise funds for the RSPCA in Stretton. This event has now become an annual event.
We usually send a large representation to Crufts. In 2004 our President Chris Briggs Judged the Obedience. The DVDC Agility Team compete in the Agility Competition.
Registered with the Kennel Club, there are three separate classes, which provide training for the Kennel Club Good Citizens scheme.
Club members and their dogs can progress through the Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced Classes. Emphasis is placed on the progressive training of dog and handler, in a friendly and encouraging environment.
Dogs are usually accepted after initial assessment to avoid disruptive and antisocial dogs.
See our contact page.
Puppy socialisation classes are available from Chris Briggs Dog Training.
